TO EGYPTIAN GnOSHAI 2
fatemolla
Mr. Gnoshai, it was so refreshing to see Imam Gazzali in NFB once again. Now
you tell me, is it possible to know a coin fully unless you look at both the
sides? No, never. Right? Good.
As you know, anybody who went through his 3 volumes of Kimia’ae Sa’adat
(later compiled to one volume), will admit that the Imam constructed a
hypnotic meditating sphere of spirituality and successfully related that
with Islam. His Minhazul Abedeen and Ihiya Ulum Al Deen did not attract me
much but Kimia’ae Sa’adat is simply extraordinary. It engulfs the reader’s
mind in totality.
I must admit that while reading it a mysteriously pleasant mystic world of
Islamic Sufis slowly opened its door to invite me in a world of deep peace
the world so much long for. Whether that invisible foggy structure of peace
and meditation is acceptable and effective or not depends on individuals.
But the fact remains that the Imam is one of the greatest theologians of
Islam.
Uuups! Did I say "One of the Greatest"? Wrong, wrong! Because: -
1. "HE WAS THE GREATEST THEOLOGIAN PRODUCED BY ISLAM." (Encyclopedia of
Islam).
2. "HE IS RECOGNIZED AS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL MUSLIM THINKER OF ALL TIME"
Abdulla Bin Alawi Al-Haddad Al-Faqih Ul Allamah Isma’il Bin Muhammad
Al-Hadhramy (what a long name! How he would write it in a passport?)
Having said that, I wonder do we have a second Imam Gazzali? My goodness,
that is dangerous indeed! Because, from the lips of the same name, we know
some other things we have serious problems with. Those are about Muslim
Women, our own women. He says,:-
1. Marriage is a form of slavery. The woman is man’s slave and her duty
therefore is absolute obedience to the husband in all that he asks of her
person.
2. Muslim women must stay at home, go out only in emergencies, must not be
well informed, must not speak with a friend of her husband, must be ready to
satisfy her husband sexually at any moment.
3. All the trials, misfortunes and woes that befall men come from women.
4. If you relax the woman’s leash a tiny bit, she will take you and bolt
wildly……Their deception is awesome and their wickedness is contagious; bad
character and feeble mind are their predominant traits.
I can go on and on quoting the Imam. But now at this moment all our minds
and hearts are focused onto Gujrat in India. We all are hopelessly standing
by speechless to see the cruelty of mankind to mankind. Mankind can not but
have to answer the questions those burnt bodies of all those kids men and
women are asking.
We don’t want to see any Mosque or Temple built on human skeleton, tears and
blood, we want a tower of humanity built on that place. In the meantime 26th
March is at our door, we have to remember one of the worst genocides in
human history in the name of Islam once again.
I will ask you more questions later.
Thanks.
