I want to express my admiration for Gita Das's writings. I have been a
keen follower, and have often found her childhood memories matching those of
mine. Her quotations from 'Jajabor' in this installment of "Tokhon O Ekhon" are
wonderful and timely.

Noteworthy was her analysis of what is called a "whisper campaign" (a
term I learned from Mr. Dipak Malik, the current President of Gandhi Institute
in Delhi) in the villages of Bangladesh that starts a communal friction turning
into a full-fledged riot.
