In 1971, while we Bengalis
were at war against Pakistan, Pakistani government
portrayed Sheikh Mujib as anti-state activist and
our freedom fighters as terrorists and separatists.
Indians are doing the same thing for Kashmiri people
now. Sheikh Mujib- the undisputed leader of East
Pakistan was arrested in 1971 because of his
"Anti-state Activities" accused by the Pakistani
ruler. Indian rulers also accused Sheikh Abdullah -
the prime minister (yes - prime minister, not chief
minister) of Kashmir for doing conspiracy against
India. He was arrested in August, 1953 by Indian
Government. Got any similarity ?

1)"Bengalis at War" is inaccurate.It was only Bengalis
in the then east pakistan.Ofcourse later the whole of
India supported you.
2)Your reasoning of "similarity" seems to run like
this "since pakistan indulged in lies and terrorist
activities india must also be doing the same".Not only
is this flawed but extremely dissapointing coming from
a Bangladesi for whom 16000 Indian soldiers laid there
life.Just consider this one fact:
1)India which itself was an extremely poor country in
1971 has given refuge fed and sheltered millions of
Bengali refugees from the then east-pakistan.

The hypocrisy of the Indian state can be
understood by comparing the case of Junagadh and
Kashmir. The Nawab of Junagadh had joined Pakistan.
At that time India said that it should be the
peoples wish and engineered an uprising in Junagadh.

responsible with what you say iam going to write

to 1951 a devastating genocide occurred mainly on
the Muslim people of Jammu and Kashmir .

now consider the facts.
1)It was pakistani armed forces along with the
fanatical tribals which invaded kashmir in 1947.the
loot rape and pillage was unprecedent .
2)do you know the meaning of "Genocide"?The muslim
population in Kashmir Valley was close to 98% now it
is 100%.Genocide is when the population of a community
in a country falls from 40% to 10% within two
generations.
3)You talk on/y between 1947-51.How come there was
supreme peace untill 1989?How come kashmir was the
favoutrite destination of Indian tourist and Indian
film industry.

separatist if he/she is treated with milk and
butter.

87% of Kashmir state budget is funded by the central
govt. of India.Kashmiris salaries ,the subsidy on
their orchards,the roads they use are funded by Indian
Union.

someone's mind if he/she feels that he/she is
mentally, physically, culturally, economically
deprived / tortured.

this why east pakistan was formed?Ever heard of a

"fighting from freedom"

The very first act of the "freedom fighters" was to
drive away their neighbours the Kashmiri pandits.does
this sound like freedom fighting?consider the
following acts of "Freedom fighters"
1)Burning down of a sufi place of worship since it
emphasies the composite culture of Kashmiriyat.
2)Killing of 60 sikhs in chittisinghpura.
3)killing of hundred hindu piligrims near Vaisnodevi
temple
4)killing of many muslim intellectuals

and you want to compare these "freedom fighters" with
Mukti-bahni?

life partner.

of our neighbours do not appreciate the democracy ,the
legal system,the liberal values of India.

members cutting all their relations.Will you simply

Election are held in Kashmir.True there was riggin in
past but it has definetly reduced .rigging wwas there
in bihar too They did not demand secession .
Indian constitution provides many mechanisms to see to
that peoples voice are heard.The challenge is to make
them work correctly.
India has a lot to offer Kashmir if only some sanity
comes over there.
