Dear Eeshita:
There are men …………and then there are morons.
Now how do you recognise a moron? Well there are a number of indicators. A propensity to dragging in the sexual (whatever the subject of discussion may be) when talking to a woman is one. For some reason or other these jerks get off on sexual innuendo aimed towards a woman, they’re constantly preoccupied with the carnal.
I’ll tell you one thing that reeeeaally gets to morons – riles them so bad that they don’t know whether to turn on their toes or their tails. They simply can’t stand feeling inferior to a woman. You have to pity these people. They are so unsure of their masculinity, so uncertain of their manhood, that the only way they can prove themselves as "men" (to themselves as well as to others) is to demean some woman. They feel threatened by women who are more intelligent, knowledgeable, educated, articulate than they are. It is only by pulling these women down can they feel at ease in their "masculine superiority". (at this point do keep in mind that psychology says that this feeling of "superiority" is actually born of a desire to compensate for a feeling of inferiority).
Also remember that when people have nothing substantive to say is when they move to personal attacks. If they indeed have anything to say – they will say it clearly and without bringing personalities into it.
And to the morons out there (to paraphrase a favorite humorist)– life will give you many opportunities to keep your mouth shut and hold still your pen – take advantage of all of them.
Eeshita, I repeat, there are men …………and then there are morons. Fortunately for us women, we learn to deal with morons easily – we have both the courage and the capacity (and certainly the grace) to do so.
Here’s a chuckle for you:
Q : Why can't morons get Mad Cow Disease?
A : Because it only attacks the brain.
Love,
Nadiya
