A very good write-up. Good discussion n presentation. But also we
should keep in mind that both of the writers had born about more
than 100 years before. In that respect both are progressive. We
cannot paint any human behavior with black n white. Absoluteness
and applied/practical aproach may always differ. Goodness-badness,
believer-atheist/agnoist etc are inter dependent like day and night.
There is some(?) science also about the differences amongst man and
women in general (staistics - otherwise all differs). Like the
average brain content are smaller in women. Mathematical and 3D
perceptions are lesser in women. They grow faster than a boy child
and early hormonal secretion/change brings early puberty. The
complex interaction between a developed body and not-so-mature brain
(11-16yrs) and ofcourse the male attention, push them to lots of
confusions,emotions,centiments. Like the gigglings of the teens.
Now we do have many scientific approaches to tackle that. But how
many parents can do that. That might have rompted the earlier
philosophers - " Streeyas charitram,Deva na jananti,Kuto manusya"
Again please do not paint me with a certain drumfull of a colour.
Even some people give the example of the animal/beast or dog/bitch
theories. Jealousy is also responsible for MCP attitude. I think
discriminations and/or under-previledges are part and parcels
everywhere. As A civilized society we must see that they are not much
differential and more equitable. The pendulum may sway some little away
from the norm. Moreover women has to take the prime initiative with the
help of the good men(like RamMohan Roy,Vidyasagar,Vivekananda etc). Do
you know I suggest most women to read newspapers and watch current
affair and Discovery/NGC channels. I again request to take me +vely.
