THE IVORY YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT.

By-fatemolla

Ivory is the long beautiful harmless tooth of elephants. It makes elephants
highly majestic and elegant. An elephant without ivory looks like a cock
without its top, a horse or lion without its shoulder-hair, a peacock
without its colourful tail (Pekhom). Ivory is magnificent and expensive. It
is used to make showpieces, ornaments and decorations for rich people. We
will come back to ivory at the end of this article. Now let us look at a
serious document made to shape our destiny, seemingly light years away from
ivory.

1. Urdu has to be the only State-language and compulsory in schools. All
Bangla signboards, number plates and names have to be replaced.

2. The portion of Bangla culture and literature with Hindu influence in it,
has to be discarded including the writings of the Kafer poet Nazrul Islam
who has sons with Hindu/Bangla names.

3. 50% of the programs of radio/TV in East Pakistan have to be in Urdu.

4. Due to their soft corner for Bangladesh, Bangali officials, intellectuals
and businessmen have to be monitored 24 hours a day. (Later to be killed
after trials in Military Court).

5. For national interest Bangali officers have to be removed from high
positions for two years.

6. All the Hindu-properties have to be confiscated to meet the expense of
Razakars and Shanti-committee.

7. The names of the cities have to be after the names of brave soldiers of
Pakistan and our real friend, China.

8. Foreign journalists and unwanted persons have to be driven out for three
months needed for national reconciliation.

These are (still are, in 2001?) the main agendas of a serious work-plan
formally accepted on 09-08-1971 in the meeting of Muhammadpur
Shanti-committee, Dhaka. Not fictions, we all were destined to this
glorious plan. Unfortunately the work plan had to be abandoned because the
planners had to invent a third option of fleeing; running away form their
Jihad with their tails flying high (apart from “Gazi, the winner” and
“Shaheed, the fallen”) on our victory day of 16th December, 1971. Possibly
Allah (SWT) liked our freedom fight more than their “Jihad” much.

Now it is another day. Last week, His Excellency Mr. Maolana Motiur Rahman
Nizami declared a glorious work plan for our country’s future. He promised
to take care of the country, our freedom fighters, and our women. You don’t
know His Excellency? Well, also in his own area of Pabna, the villagers do
not know this name much. Rather, if you just utter the word “Moittya
Razakar”, they immediately know this0 famous killer of 1971.

Dear Readers, you need to know him again, in these days of your election.
You once again need to talk to the people who saw killing, slaughtering, and
raping of hundreds of freedom fighters and women by Moittya- cadres in 1971
under his direct instruction. You need to go to the “Slaughter-field”
(Jobai-Math) of Koromja. Ask Aminul Islam, Bhadu pramanik, Manu
Pramanik, Abdul Latif of Brishalikha, Abdul Kuddus of Madhabpur,
Shajahan Ali of Shathia, and all those orphans of our freedom fighters of
Pabna. They will tell you what they saw themselves. Want to see the record,
the document? Go to Engineers’ Institute in Dhaka. These all were published
in the gathering on 26th March of 1994 in the Engineering Institute with
none but Begum Sufia Kamal as the Chair Person and none but Shamsur Rahman
as the chief guest.

AS IN ANY NATION, PEOPLE OF WEST PAKISTAN HAVE MANY
DIFFERENCES AMONG THEMSELVES. THEY HAVE EVEN CONFLICTS OF
INTEREST IN MANY ASPECTS OF LIFE. BUT I AM SURE IN
(HYPOTHETICAL) CASE OF EXTERNAL INVASION IF IT COMES TO MASS-RAPE
OF THEIR MOTHERS/DAUGHTERS/SISTERS, THEY WILL RIGHTLY TAKE LESS THAN
A SECOND TO FORGET THE DIFFERENCES, BE STRONGLY UNITED AND
STAND TOGETHER NOT ONLY TO RESIST BUT ALSO TO PHYSICALLY
ELIMINATE THE INVADOR RAPERS. NO AMOUNT OF ISLAMI LECTURES WILL
BE ABLE TO FOOL THEM. AND WE ARE SO UNFORTUNATE TO HAVE SOME
BANGALIS IN BANGLADESH WHO WITH ALL THEIR CRUEL ABILITIES CHOSE
TO ASSIST THE INVADOR KILLERS/RAPERS TO KILL/RAPE THEIR OWN
BROTHERS/ SISTERS/ MOTHERS/ DAUGHTERS. AND UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS
IN THE NAME OF ISLAM. SOMETHING IN THEIR ISLAM MADE THEM TOO
DEAF TO HEAR THE CRY OF THEIR OWN BROTHERS/ SISTERS/ MOTHERS/
DAUGHTERS, TOO DUMB TO SCREAM ABOUT IT. NOW THEY ARE BACK
TO “SAVE” THE SAME WOMEN OF OURS. NOW THEY ARE BACK TO
“TAKE CARE” OF THE SAME COUNTRY THEY WERE OUT TO KILL IN THE
WOMB OF HISTORY BEFORE IT WAS BORN. THE SAME FACES WITH THE
SAME SWEET WORDS OF THEIR ISLAM.

We very well know what they will do in the first chance. They will finish
the unfinished work-plan of their “Jihad” of 1971 (shown in the beginning
plus destruction of our Shaheed Minar), as Abul Kasem was correct to tell
us. People never forget defeat and insult. They remembered their terrible
defeat of 1971 in every breath took and every step they made. And they
worked hard on it. What His Excellency says today is like ivory, the
beautiful harmless showpiece that makes an elephant elegant and majestic.
Under the jaw it has another set of hidden teeth to chew Bangladesh, crush
Bangladesh and doom Bangladesh.

Not a hypothesis, hard recorded facts of 1971. We better remember this
invaluable lesson of life in these days of our election.
