I fully agree with you. In my previous posting on the accident I expressed
my agony over the attitude of CMH hospitals. Whether seats or no seats CMH's
must admit severely accident-injured persons to save their lives and
administer immediate emergency medical treatment. After providing life
saving treatment then they can make alternative arrangement on their own
initiative, and provide all facilities for transferring patients elsewhere.
If the authority or doctors in CMHs refuse to admit severely injured or
otherwise critically ill patients, they are simply violating medical ethics.
The doctors serving in CMHs must understand they are doctors first and then
military officers. The CMH authority also should realize that the
institution is a 'hospital first', then a military establishment.

The cycle-walla with his girlfriend on his back simply drove away to save
his skin. No attempt was made to stop him. Question is who will ?- the place
is a village, he simply fled away before the villgers ran to the place for
their rescue. This is what I could gather after talking to Shariar and
others.

I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Ajoy Roy for the detailed report on the
latest physical conditions of Shahriar Kabir and other comrades survivng the
fatal accident. But I was enraged to know 'In spite of the earnest request
on the part of the Saidpur hospital authority to admit the injured ones,
especially one who were in critical condition like Apu, in Rangpur CMH, the
CMH refused admission.'

I condemn this attitude of any organisation which has the word 'Hospital' in
its nomenclature.The Cantonement people enjoy the best facilities in the
country at the tax payers money. They may not share their previledges with
commoners but they must allow their hospital facilities to be used for life
saving purposes. I know they do it occasinally for the very previledged
persons. They should stop this differntial treatment of citizens. If they
can not do so, they should delit the word 'hospital' from the facility and
give it other name such as 'body repairing for military'. If it is Hospital
it should treat everybody gainning access there.

By the way what happened to the motor cycle which was the reason for the
accident?
