Domestic Failures and Foreign Interventionist Theories: Part-2

Domestic Failures and Foreign Interventionist Theories: Part-2
_____________________________________________________
By Afroza Begum

It is needful here and now to recall the polarization of the
international forces those then supported the creation of Bangladesh
in 1971, rising in condemnation of the massive crime of rape and
genocide carried out by the Pakistani Military Junta under the
Presidentship of General Yahya Khan. The Socialist Governments of the
World under the leadership of now defunct Soviet Union and the
democratic Governments and non-state social/democratic activists in
and around the World led by the India challenged the opposing camp
led by the nexus of US and Chinese administration who stood by the
side of military dictator of Pakistan terming the genocide
an "internal affair" of Pakistan. The role of the Muslim countries
were extremely reprehensible while they had totally ignored that the
largest genocide against the Muslim population was being carried out
in the then East Pakistan by the rulers of Muslim Pakistan.

I would like the readers to especially note that going meticulously
all through the 1400 years of history of Islam one would find that
the scale of rape and genocide carried out in Bangladesh in 1971, by
the cruelest Muslim dictator General Yahya Khan surpassed all records
in number and brutality found in the Muslim history. The other act of
genocide taking the second highest human toll was the Armenian
genocide carried out in 1915-16 by the Turkish Army led by the "Young
Turk Movement" but that was in the size of even half in number (1.5
Million Christians) than that was carried out by the Pakistani Army
(3.0 Million, Muslims in large numbers with very small numbers of
Hindus and Christians), in Bangladesh. Both of these genocides were
perpetrated acting deliberately against the tradition of Islam
disregarding strict tenets against physical annihilation of non-
combatant civilians for achieving political ends other than
imposition of Jijya (special tax) on non-Muslim population even which
was progressively abolished during Muslim rule of India in the 16th
century, at the same time when still the orthodox Christians were
burning the "apostates" in the stakes carrying out their sacred duty
of Inquisition.

However, readers attention is drawn here in the attempt to realize
that the essence of contemporary epoch of history does not lie
anymore in grand narrations of cultures and civilizations but in the
tales of recognition or rejection of the small needs of the people of
diverse cultures diverging into making of a "Global Village"
recognizing equity of fundamental human rights and international
laws. Hence in course of the very turn of history that has taken the
road onward in this millennium, rather now the World history is
putting on records the names of those acts and actors providing or
disregarding the course of recognizing uniform code of global ethics
and international laws founded on mutual help, cooperation,
compassion and humanity.

History reminds time and again that, many have not preferred to read
the dispassionate tales and tried to learn the lessons from the
history to follow the course it has indicated. Earlier pieces of
history have always provided us with all the records of events those
shaped the ingredients and components of intertwined fabric of
humanity and civilization. As many diverse versions and
interpretations of history would be available in the literatures of
history, similarly as many of the readers -- at a given point of time-
- would also get into believing and accepting the make believe
interpretations those would suit ones passion, interest or mindset.
But history has its own way of making and the dispassionate inquiry
deep into those literatures will always reveal the truth in the long
run as peoples' conscious efforts for the exhumation of truth of
humanity can be fooled or diverted only temporarily, with lies.

Lies repeated time and again make people to believe the lies as
truth, and that was the theory of Goebles who served Hitler the best,
to create the myth of the "blood religion" claiming racial
superiority of the Nordic, ironically while 20th century was emerging
as the epoch of the beginning with placing the peoples taking the
protagonists role of the histories in making. German people believed
in those lies, which met with common peoples' wider resistances
globally built on all fronts to bring for them ultimate miseries of
distress, death and destruction. The lives those lost -- paid the
price. The lives those survived -- learnt the lessons. The price of
demystification of Goeblesian myth was too dear for the Germans to
forget, and the World to remember for eternal future.

People's history on record shows, when the people of erstwhile East
Pakistan was struggling to attain equitable political right and
economic parity, the Goebles of Pakistan termed it as Indian long
hand of conspiracy to weaken Pakistan. The media machinery of Nurul
Amin, the then Chief Minister of Muslim League Government even
resorted to heinous propaganda that there was slogan of "Jai Hind"
given at Narayanganj by the protestors rallying in favour of the
historic language movement in 1952. When the historic 6-point demand
of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ultimately became the "Magna Carta" of
independence movement with the roaring slogan of "Jai Bangla", the
Pakistani propaganda barons reacted against it with the rancorous
slogan of "Jai Bangla, Jai Hind -- Lungi Chaira Dhuti Pind".
Suggesting that the people who had been voicing the slogan of "Jai
Bangla" wanted to make erstwhile East Pakistan part of India and the
Muslims who were then wearing "Lungi" should start wearing "Dhuti",
the common attire for Hindus.

In erstwhile East Pakistan, the right reactionaries of Muslim Elitist
Forces led by Muslim League in tandem with the left radical forces
led by underground armed communist movements who were opposing the
nationalist aspiration of the people which grew through the language
movement and matured through the movements for 6-point and 11-point
demands, from its onset termed those movements of demanding political
and economic parity as "subversive" movements to weaken the integrity
of Muslim Pakistan favouring India. The right reactionary character
of the Pakistani ruling clique always preferred to assert Muslim
nationalism aggressively vis-à-vis integrity of Pakistan to reject
the demands of wider political and economic rights of different
ethnic nationalities under the five provinces, which constituted
pseudo-federalist, pseudo-democratic Pakistan, most of the time
lacking an workable democratic constitution for decades infringed and
encroached often by the coming and going of military dictatorships.
The radical leftists from under their garb of ultra-progressiveness,
with distorted analysis of the socio-political realities questioned
the class position of the patriotic nationalist forces deeply
suspecting their commitment for national independence, democracy and
people's economic emancipation. Ultimately with that faulty theory
they came out in public opposing the nationalist movements not
differing with the reactionary Pakistani regimes in action furthering
subversive campaigns, and as well in implicating those nationalist
movements as well to be Indian conspiracies same like the Muslim
Nationalists.

It is needful to remind that, the "spectre" of Pakistan those are
left behind on our back in Bangladesh which are fledging with fresh
stems and branches nurtured by the proponents of communal politics –
not to forget that, the concept of democracy, people's political
empowerment, equitable distribution of national income and investment
directed towards balanced growth of all the people living under the
different provinces of Pakistan was never in the mind of the
Pakistani ruling clique, although they invoked religion and claimed
to build Muslim federal states, for dividing India under the
smokescreen of Islamic justice and in the name of so-called Muslim
nationalism. A total fraud and fabricated political doctrine
misinterpreting the religious and legal doctrine of Islam furthered
with ulterior motive to favour the upper elite Muslim class of Indian
subcontinent. In practice, therefore, it was found that the Pakistani
ruling elitist clique preferred to impose parochial version of
Islamism only for the sake of national integrity of the separate
territory perceived by them to rule, so that they could economically
exploit unfettered the God fearing Muslim ethnic nationalities in pro-
colonial style following the legacy of the British colonialist rule,
but not for delivering socio-economic justice to its citizens
equitably even upto the standard of pluralism those Islam preaches.

The real face of the exploitive character worldwide of the Muslim
elitist class for imposition of the orthodox and distorted version of
religion in the nation building as well as in the functions of the
socio-economic and legal affairs of the Muslim states is evident from
high proportion of social backwardness, economic poverty and income
inequality side by side with autocratic rule existing invariably in
almost all the newly independent Muslim states of the post colonial
era in the 20th century.

Therefore, if the history interpreting the people's movements in the
then East Pakistan waged towards attaining just political right and
socio-economic parity within the framework of Pakistan were to be
considered anti-Islamic side by side as Indian conspiracy and if the
propaganda of Pakistani Goebles made in those lines made during 23
years of Pakistani rule over Bangladesh should be taken to be
credible, then deductively it might not be wrong also to presume
that, the Pakistani Military Generals--Yahya Khan, Tikka Khan and
Niazi -- were also probably acting under the influence of "Research
and Analysis Wing (RAW)", the counter intelligence outfit of India to
have conspired to crack down mercilessly on unarmed civilians of
erstwhile East Pakistan on the darkest night of 25th March, 1971,
because that imprudent and cruelest act of genocide then had
decisively led the people of the Eastern wing of Pakistan to the
irreconcilable point of rejection of Pakistan and proclaim
independence.

Muslim Generals or Monarchs during the Umayyad, Abbasid or Uthman
dynasties did not also carry out such a mass scale of rape and
genocide even on the non-combatants non-Muslims, which ironically the
Pakistani Generals and their boot-lickers heinously carried out in
Bangladesh on the non-combatant Muslims, in the name of Islam. The
section of the orthodox civil society in Bangladesh, whose willful
amnesia of this piece of history is getting directed to shrewdly
revoke Muslim nationalism in the hearts and minds of the younger
generation of the newly independent Bangladesh, must be frustrated.
They are acting to prove themselves to be not only enemies of
humanity but at the same time enemies of Islamic humanism.

Particularly, in view of the rise of terrorism and militarism, which
is growing globally bred with distorted interpretation of Jihad (holy
war) and political indoctrination of Islam. Few democratic
intellectuals who are also getting disoriented nowadays impressed by
the anti-imperialist agenda of "Muslim Terrorism" need to reexamine
the phenomenon in the light of the fact as to whether those forces
ideologically could ultimately play conducive role in building a
tolerant, pluralistic democratic society committed towards people's
economic emancipation and social equity. This type of shortsighted
approaches to wrongfully identify the components comprising the broad
based anti-imperialist unity of the democratic forces of the world
humanity is not only dangerous but highly disastrous course set to
backfire the whole agenda of anti-imperialism burnt to ashes.

Few claims that Late General Ziaur Rahman, founder of BNP, the
political party currently in the Government, made the proclamation,
when the constitution of Bangladesh records that Late Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the life and soul of AL, currently in the
opposition, made the proclamation of independence of Bangladesh.
Without going into the unnecessary controversy as to who proclaimed
the independence of Bangladesh, taking it otherwise hypothetically in
the relative premises that both of the claims are true then it leads
to the irrefutable conclusion that AL, as well as the founder
President of BNP sought and fought armed struggle for independence of
Bangladesh towards secession from Pakistan. Hence, further down the
line, if the propaganda claims of Pakistani ruling clique are taken
to be correct assertion of fact, then the logic makes it also to be
true that irrefutably the forefathers of both the party in power and
the opposition of today's Bangladesh played their role miserably
under the hands of Indian design for secession of erstwhile East
Pakistan to destroy integrity of Pakistan, and coincidently weakened
the "sacred" Muslim country miserably, to the strategic benefit of
India.

Hence, the raison d'etre of the freedom movement with all the
fundamental inspirations those played vital role behind the struggle
for independence of Bangladesh, should then be considered as
concocted theories and nothing but those had been fabricated to serve
Indian interest, and for which historically both founder of BNP and
AL are to be held responsible and if possible their dead bodies
should be exhumed and tried for high treason with charges for
hatching conspiracy of dividing the sacred Islamic State of Pakistan.
This is what apparently the Pakistani `spectre' left behind in
Bangladesh want us to get brainwashed with and to believe. Hence they
wish to inspire to hatch all sorts of conspiracy against the
democratic patriotic forces of Bangladesh hence acting up and doing
against the rise of consciousness of the people of Bangladesh who
wish to surge ahead to fight and secure their right for political-
economic empowerment strengthening the sovereignty engaging
themselves to the historic struggle towards development
of "Democratic Bangladesh". With this objective, with the distorted
version of Islam and so-called Muslim Nationalism side by side they
are hatching all kinds of conspiracies to divert and suppress
people's effort for building strong democratic institutions and socio-
economic backbone with uniform code of ethics and human rights
capable to deliver equitable rule of law and social justice.

It is no more a secret that these pseudo-Islamists and pro-Pakistani
nationalists in alliance with pseudo-progressive elements are
covertly involved to build "Muslim Bangladesh" invoking Muslim
nationalism turning the wheel back to the legacy of autocratic rule
in Pakistani style, with economy subservient to imperialist
exploitation. That is why these elements become thrilled to get them
identified as "moderate Muslims" in the list of the self-assumed
brand distributor of the World, waiting to get patted on the back
like General Pervez Musharraf, the self-proclaimed President of
Pakistan.

Needless to mention that, hence at the same time the local
collaborators of the Pakistani Military Junta wish the people of
Bangladesh to forget the grim saga of rape and genocide for which the
then members of the Pakistani ruling clique and their local
collaborators are responsible and ironically who are yet to be tried
for the war crimes which they committed in the name of distorted
version of Islam. It is quite unfortunate but it is true also that,
with the assassination of the founding leaderships of independent
Bangladesh and through political conspiracies hatched by the
successive autocratic regimes led by a section of civil-military
bureaucracy during 1975-1990, in the meantime those `specters' of
Pakistani version of religious communalism have engulfed the minds
and intellects of a considerable section of politicians, academicians
and members of civil-military bureaucracy of our country, creating a
sharp and conflicting division in the body politik of Bangladesh,
which is evident from the confrontational nature of political
practice adding to political restlessness which continue to exist
even during the past 14 years period since restoration of
parliamentary democratic form of governance from 1991 onward till
date.

A small piece of humor may be recalled. A poor peasant sent his son
to school. The rich neighbour reacted, "Well, the fellow may try
waste his money, but the son will not pass the exams." After the son
passed all the exams, the rich neighbour still claimed, "Well, the
son may pass the exams but it is impossible for him to get any job."
But, the poor peasant's son got a good job, too. The rich neighbour
maintained, "Well, he may have a job, but he will not get any salary."

We have been discouraged in course of pre- and post-independence
history with the so-called infallible theories against any
possibility of independent economic survivability of Bangladesh.
Theories suggesting that independent Bangladesh must have to live as
a state economically subservient to the big neighbour India, had then
been presented to argue not only to discourage the independence
movement but later also continued to get used to discourage any
normal bilateral political-economic neighborly relation between India
and Bangladesh, with shrewd campaign sowing the seed of suspicion
hindering even normal bilateral relation between these two countries.
Same like the vested interest in Pakistan would practice to sustain
political tension to keep the people's eyes and minds away from the
domestic issues of democratic political and economic rights of the
common mass with ulterior motive for hindering development of
domestic democratic polity, so that the clique of the vested ruling
elite comprising big bourgeoisie and the land-lords who are out in
plundering the national wealth could continue to economically and
politically exploit their own people for unfettered misappropriation
of power and national wealth for their economic self-aggrandizement.

The skewed political campaign made in the same line in Bangladesh not
only weakens and erodes the self-respect and self-confidence of a
country whose people inherits the pride of fighting and liberating
the country through armed struggle, but also makes it on the other
hand susceptible to get misguided in the path of upbringing of
healthy foreign relation strategy of "enmity with none and
friendship with all", which is constitutionally the declared paradigm
of foreign relation strategy as well found beneficial for a
developing country like Bangladesh. When one need to be grateful to
India without any sense of miserliness expressed for their historical
support in the liberation war of Bangladesh, at the same time, that
sense of gratitude thus shown not necessarily should mean giving up
mutual respect and accrued strength in the positions of argument for
securing just settlement of the bilateral issues pertaining to trade,
commerce, water-sharing, border demarcations or the sensitive issue
like the unwanted cross-border hideouts of insurgents requiring
cleansing operation carried out in both sides of the border,
otherwise it goes on inflicting unnecessary political tension in one
or two regionally isolated pockets in both the countries.

As long as those bilateral issues get going to get resolved through
widening and strengthening of diplomatic maneuverability and
technical expertise, the people of both the countries will be more
benefited than through making those issues into exchange of tense
media rhetoric or intellectual polemics hatching grounds for
political tension to undertake short-term gains in the domestic
partisan politics. In between the neighborly countries, exchange of
views and dialogue both in private, public and political level needs
to be broadened as much as possible in open mind and there is no
reason for a democratic country like India to discourage the effort
of building broader environment of reciprocities of discourses in
this manner with Bangladesh.

When Agartala is alleged to become safe haven for the insurgents of
Chittagong hill district of Bangladesh, at the same time as
retaliatory measure to make Sylhet as safe haven for the Naga or Mizo
insurgents of India does not look as pragmatic step. On the other
hand Bangladesh need to recognize the rights of their own indigenous
ethnic minorities for their land and livelihood and undertake to
implement the necessary steps boldly towards a just settlement of the
concerned issues upholding the territorial integrity of Bangladesh.
At the same time necessary steps would require for neutralizing the
political pressure of the majority ethnics settlers in those lands.
When we need to solve our own internal problem recognizing diversity
under the concept of territorial nationalism in the same way we
should also forcefully encourage India to settle their own internal
problems of insurgency taking the pragmatic course of just political
settlements through concerted efforts recognizing the political and
economic demand of the backward section of the people of the eastern
Indian states. But definitely we cannot take that position strongly
with India keeping our own domestic problem unresolved.

In fact both Bangladesh and India should have scope to cooperate with
each other to solve those mutual problems of small scale insurgencies
occurring in the eastern borders now at their budding stage before
those take shape of serious military conflicts founded on mass
discontent escalating into larger scales with massive displacement of
populations across the borders creating deep humanitarian crisis
complicating and jeopardizing the situation further. It looks always
pragmatic to get engaged to treat a disease at its earliest stage
before it becomes malignant and deadly for the political health of
both of the two countries. Because, if that would happen, then the
shock of the discontent and conflict would affect Bangladesh as a
small country socio-economically proportionately at much higher rate
than India, obviously because India is much bigger country with
higher capability to contain and sustain the socio-economic cost of
the political problem in their one or two small states in their
eastern region. When we have lot to say to both India and Pakistan or
to the international community for political solution of the long
drawn Kashmir issue, but to bring similar issue to our borders as to
simulate pressure tactic apparently as friendly gesture to Pakistan
or to instigate Muslim nationalism in the soils of Bangladesh is no
less than act of enmity against the overall interest of the people of
Bangladesh. The forces that wish to further this type of heinous
agenda hiding in the administration and politics of independent
Bangladesh should be identified and punished bringing charges of
treason.

During the last 33 years of history of bilateral relation between
India and Bangladesh, nevertheless without any exception, it has been
observed and found that the political leaderships who tried to prove
them more outwardly vocal against perceived Indian hegemonic foreign
policy had traded-off more concession favouring India rather than who
have shown strong self-confidence and thus dealing with the issues
being friendly and less fearful requiring anti-Indian mass media
campaign in the background had traded more beneficial settlements
favouring Bangladesh in a friendly tension free environment. All
neighbouring countries in the World shall have issues requiring
settlements and history has shown invariably that the issues gets
settled the best through practice of dialogue in wider scale with
open mind upholding environment of neighborly relation of friendship
rather than amidst smokescreen of distrust and suspicion. Bangladesh
has many friends in the Indian intelligentsia and similarly India has
also several friends in Bangladesh intelligential which is obvious
being neighbourly country and inheriting similar customs, tradition
and culture, for having lived together for many centuries. There are
also about 100 million Muslims in India, who prefer to remain Indians
and the same time friendly with Muslim countries like Bangladesh and
Pakistan.

The forces that opposed the independence of Bangladesh both
politically and militantly collaborating with the acts of rape and
genocide perpetrated by the Pakistani occupational Army in 1971,
never accepted their political defeat. If they had accepted that --
which Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had mistakenly expected by
showing his magnanimity through proclamation of General Amnesty --
then after independence taking it a political reality, they should
have integrated them in the mainstream political line of the
perception of democracy on which Bangladesh was founded and never
have returned to their earlier profession of politicization of Islam
and anti-Indian propaganda stance, the same old political spectre of
Pakistan, from the very curse of which Bangladesh wished to escape.
For that, how much of blood and tears the people of Bangladesh shed
during the war of independence and post-independence period, are they
all not seen written on the walls with blood of our martyrs for the
readers of history to know?

History has proved that a country surges ahead from 'strength to
strength' – taking the courses of building strong democratic
institutions step by step. The constitution of 1972 emerged to get
destined for that. But, unfortunately later history did not follow
the path so chosen with rise of internal divisions within the
political forces who in the past fought united for independence. No
doubt the national and international vested interest who opposed the
independence of Bangladesh similarly during post-independence period
they did not wish to see an independent Bangladesh to grow with
strong socio-economic foundation practicing democracy – thus
instigated the politics of divisionism.

The creation of Jatiyo Samajtrantik Dal (JSD) within few months from
the date of liberation of Dhaka with radical slogan of so-
called "Scientific Socialism" and "Social revolution" forged by the
agent provocateurs within the most vital youth forces of the country
made to disrupt national unity at the immediate post independence
period which was fuelled further by the radical Maoists agenda in
such a proportion that even Maulana Bhashani got himself disoriented
with perceived threat of Indian hegemonic reprisal on independent
Bangladesh. Eventually, the distorted militant political line
undertook by JSD and NAP (Bhashani) nexus not only weakened the
process of democratic development of Bangladesh but also forced the
pro-liberation leaderships to get into defensive back foot with
miserable guillotine of democratic constitution which prepared the
ground for bloody coup-de-tat to usher the rule of autocracy exhuming
the communal forces only within three and half years of the birth of
the nation which was historically born with firm commitment and
millions of sacrifice for building democratic Bangladesh.

How much the result of bad politics can get disastrous, the people of
Bangladesh have experienced during 1975-1990 being under the periods
of autocratic rules living in between misfortunes of politics of
bloodshed and military coup-de-tats in the same old Pakistani style.
The political stigma of Serajul Alam Khan -- the mentor of JSD -- and
that of the Maoist lieutenants acting from under the armpits of Late
Maulana Bhashani, miserably disoriented and stigmatized the
democratic development of Bangladesh at its onset, embarking
infantile disease of divisiveness in the body politic of our nation,
with which the country till today continue to languish.

India is a vast country with diverse ethnic and religious population.
It has firmly established federal democracy with 25 provincial states
and 7 Union territories ruled by autonomous provincial Governments
and a central Government. This is fact that India has problem with
their eastern states, which are unequally developed compared to other
parts of India. The underdevelopment is causing discontent among the
masses of the eastern states with rise of insurgency. The insurgents
often tend to use Bangladesh as their hinterland for its geographic
reality of porous border and our weak border security.

When Bangladesh has loads of her own problems, it never goes to the
benefit of Bangladesh to shelter or encourage the East Indian
insurgents to cause unnecessary tension in the bilateral relation
between big neighbour India and Bangladesh. If any forces in
Bangladesh ever dream of instigating India by inspiring those
insurgents letting willfully allow to build up tension within the
good neighborly relation between these two countries, they cannot be
considered as friend of Bangladesh. Because, the economic cost of
such tension is bound to jeopardize the upward trend of economic
growth, which the people of Bangladesh has hard earned in the recent
years.

India had problem with Sikh separatist movements too in Eastern
Punjab bordering with Pakistan. Dealing with them with iron hand led
to severe discontentment among the Sikhs, culminating ultimately in
the assassination of one of the most popular Prime Minister of India,
Mrs. Indira Gandhi inflicted by the bullets fired from her Sikh
guard. Even West Bengal bordered with Bangladesh had once been
gripped under rising of insurgency of left radical terrorism, which
subsided with heavy handed administrative steps side by side with
pragmatist politics of assimilation undertook incognito by the left
front Government of West Bengal.

The insurgency in Kashmir divided between Pakistan and India is the
infantile disease existing between these two countries since
independence. Tension in the bilateral relation between neighbouring
states of Pakistan and India for more than 50 years, on Kashmiri
insurgency issue, not only caused wars between these two countries,
but led both these neighbouring countries through severe arms race
upto acquiring of long range missiles and nukes those both the
countries hardly should economically afford. Bleeding their economy
with the cost of sophisticated arms, unfortunately, hence almost
keeping half of the population in both of these countries, illiterate
and living below the poverty line. Needless to add the mass figures
of the untold sufferings and setbacks of ill health and malnutrition,
the populations of these countries suffer due to low public
investment in the human development sectors.

Bangladesh is the youngest nation state in South Asia, born with the
commitment to establish a democratic society. To strengthen the
democratic institutions at all levels with proper distribution of
power both vertically and horizontally recognizing people's right
ensuring their wider participation in socio-economic development
activities maintaining rule of law with successive reduction of
income inequality, are the main tasks now to fulfill its objective to
emerge as a sovereign and economically vibrant state in this sub-
continent. It is imperative to shun communalism and resist rise of
fundamentalism or rise of any autocratic trend intolerant to freedom
of speech. In this way, we would be able to develop the patriotic
nationalist democratic leaderships from the people and foil any
attempted conspiracy of foreign forces seeking dominations in the
internal affairs of our country. Therefore, without leading the hoax
of campaign of conspiracies of foreign interventionism responsible
against domestic political restlessness rather on the other hand the
responsible political leadership, civil and military members of the
bureaucracy of the government and the concerned intellectuals of our
country need to dedicate their time and energy to undertake the
necessary steps diligently and expeditiously for strengthening of the
democratic institutions, heightening the quality of transparency and
accountability removing the bottlenecks of mal-governance of our
country because those will be the bases of power and our ultimate
saviour protecting the sovereignty of our country from perceived
conspiracies seeking foreign interference or intervention.

Once we strengthen our democratic institution involving people's
trust and participation letting our self-confidence grows then we
would be able to lead us successfully to reap economic benefit
enormously exploiting the geopolitical position acting as bridge of
international trade cooperation between the South Asian and South-
east Asian countries. At this moment the main task of the political
leadership in power is to dedicate sincerely to strengthen the
democratic institutions of the country, ensuring establishment of
rule of law proving their sincerity and commitment towards patriotic
nationalism and democracy, without hysteria of campaign against the
opposition or perceived foreign conspiracies allegedly seeking
intervention.
