Re: Nothing will hold us back-Pledges Bush in his Acceptance Speech by Dr. A. H. Jaffor Ullah.
As usual, Dr. Jaffor has summarized the entire speech of President Bush at the Republican Convention in New York as succinctly as it was possible. I thank him for his nice write up.
In it, Dr. Jaffor has said: “In the last 4 days, the Republican convention was abuzz with the talk of 9-11 terrorist attack and how Mr. Bush handled the crisis. The impression that was given by the speechmakers was the following: George W. Bush knows how to handle a crisis as big as 9-11. Therefore, reëlect him; America will be safer under his leadership.
In this connection, may I request him to favor us with another write up of his, detailing therein the following points:
How brilliantly did he really handle the September 11 crisis?
Could not someone else have handled it in the same way, given the manpower our government has, its financial and military strength and the willingness of the people to face such catastrophes unitedly?
In one of his recent speeches, the President had said that he knew in 2002 that the gas prices in the United States were going to go up in 2004, when there was no hint at the time either of a reduction in the production of crude oil by the Opec countries or of a price hike for the same in the international market. On the other hand, the President was told, in writing, by the CIA of the impending attacks it expected from Osama bin Laden on our soil, but the President had failed to take note of it. How come?
Dear Every One: I think Bush is a total failure. Republican party has been taking nothing else during the last 4 days except war on terrorism. Out of...
