CAAMB (Campaign Against Atrocities on Minorities in Bangladesh), Kolkata expresses its deep sorrow for the controversial death of Professor Humayun Azad, eminent writer and intellectual of Bangladesh. Prof. Azad had been in the forefront of struggle against Islamic Fundamentalism and was recently brutally injured by the fundamentalists supported by present Bangladesh Government. Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and tribal communities of Bangladesh have lost a true friend of theirs. We appeal to all in West Bengal and Bangladesh to carry on his unfinished fight against Islamic Fundamentalism.
CAAMB will pay its condolence in a meeting on 20 August, at 5-30 pm at University Institute Basement Hall, College Square, Kolkata.
