Welcome to the Mt Vernon Ave. email list. This e-list is for neighbors on Mt. Vernon Ave. and adjacent streets such as Nicholson, Caroline, and down to Rockingham, who ever is interested in the neighborhood to communicate via email.

The purpose of this list is for neighbors to be able to communicate about what is going on in the neighborhood and network together putting each other in touch with services our community provides from SEAC (http://www.rochester-seac.org/ ), NET, etc. such as security grants, home repair grants, tool library, neighborhood watch, PAC TAC (http://www.ci.rochester.ny.us/apps/CITYSITE.NSF/a024191c67aca3e28525656c006594d4/96bd04cf5cd8bf6085256571007b004c?OpenDocument and Click on PAC TAC), RGE's (http://www.rge.com/ServiceFrmSet.html) lighting program that installs and maintains outdoor security lighting for free and operates low cost electrical for such lighting (search "safety lighting" and click on the first link for "Exterior Lighting Program- KEEPING THE NIGHT BRIGHT WITH LIGHT WORKS"
as well as other services to the people in our neighborhood.

This is not necessarily an "action" oriented list. The Ellwanger-Barry group www.ellwangerbarry.org is our Neighborhood Association and Neighbors Building Neighborhoods Sector 6 are groups that takes action on many issues of concern in our neighborhood.
