Maryland Roman Catholic Homeschoolers is a support group with members in Howard County and Catonsville, Maryland. Our acronym, MRCH (pronounced "march"), reminds us that we are raising the next generation of the Church Militant. Realizing this most important job we have been called to do, we, as mothers, look to our mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, to guide our families to her Son.
We gather together for Mass and then brunch on first Fridays. Our children's schola/choir meets weekly to learn Gregorian chant. Each month we have a Middle School Bible Study, Book Clubs(grades 3-5 & grades 6+), a Science Club (grades K-3) and toddler playgroup. Several field trips are scheduled throughout the year. A calendar of activities is maintained online.
We have as our foundation and as the guiding principle of all our functions and activities, fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, particularly the Pope, who, as successor to St. Peter, is the universal teacher in matters of faith and morals, and to the diocesan bishop teaching in communion with him.
