This is the Mount Pleasant Cares Cares discussion list to discuss issues and ideas for improving the quality of life in our neighbourhood.

Membership is subject to approval by the moderators. All requests to join must provide the area where you live (eg 8th & Fraser) and your reasons for wanting to join, otherwise your request to join will not be accepted, until you provide this information.

List Netiquette
The purpose of this list, is to advance our cause. Therefore, a high standard of netiquette is expected; those who engage in personal attacks will be removed and banned from the list. We have a zero tolerance policy on this.

Do not post on issues outside of our area, unless they are germane to the broader discussion.

Do not post messages that are simply to agree with what someone else has posted; all posts should advance the discussion.

Do not post more than once a day unless there is some pressing reason. (The moderators may violate this rule with caution.)

Be ready to take private discussions, off list.

PLEASE TRIM OFF IRRELEVANT SECTIONS OF POSTS TO WHICH YOU ARE REPLYING.

The list owner are very busy and will simply cancel, without warning, the membership of any member whose posts are disruptive to the purpose of the group. Reasonable people will not fall afoul of this provision.
