Mothering Muslima is a discussion group for Muslim women focusing on homemaking, marriage, childrearing (esp. "natural parenting," although we welcome sisters who follow "mainstream" parenting as well!), homeschooling, and other related issues.

Sisters on this list may follow different schools of thought / interpretations of Islam. This is not the place to discuss or debate those differences. Questions of fiqh or 'aqida are referred to the scholars and students of knowledge only. Please do not post such materials here.

While disucssion of various experiences and ideas is more than welcome, this is not the place to elevate one's opinion over the opinions of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, or the works of our rightly guided scholars. We expect all members to adhere to the highest form of Islamic adab when sending posts to this list, not only as a courtesy to the other human beings who subscribe to it, but as a training for the nafs.
