Mormons-Only is a moderated mailing list, for all members (new, old and potential) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We invite you to visit the official Church website at www.lds.org where our beliefs are explained in detail.
This list was created to be a gathering place for the Saints, to be able to discuss things of spiritual importance. We can share in the experiences of long-time members, the new found joy of just baptized members, or help answer sincere questions of those who seek to understand the Church.
If anyone wishes to know what kinds of messages we seek to have posted to this list, the 13th Article of Faith will answer that question...
"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
The purpose of Mormons-Only is to give emotional support to members in need, assist one another in lesson and talk preparation, share testimonies, faith promoting stories, and to meet each other over the Net. We do not go beyond this set of guidelines, if some do, they are Off Topic. Being Off Topic is a Bad Thing.
We do not argue or debate our religious beliefs. POLITICS as a topic is forbidden here. You may not mention the name of any political party, and you may not mention a philosophy that is associated with politics.
