This view of the moral autonomy of man --advocating responsible self-government by individuals-- shares much with the libertarian tradition. This group has been formed to explore a variety of topics related to these two traditions, including: Mormon communitarianism and left libertarianism; the Modern Church and the moral autonomy of the individual; the Church as a civil institution; the Church as a political institution; the proper role of civil society; the use and abuse of the coercive power of government, etc.
