Hi Mike,
My name is Scott Jackson and I live
in San Francisco, CA but lucky for you,I am on a
project here in Dallas during the week right now. I would
like to offer to get you and your Moore up to speed if
you still need any help. I have been sailing LaBomba
#151 for over 13 years and can pass along both local
Dallas lake sailing skill sets for the Moore as well as
answer any speed, tuning and crew questions to help you
get the most out of your boat. Drop me a contact #
and we can set up a time to go sailing. Beer cans
will work best for me, as I am sailing on the Bay back
home on the weekends.
Welcome to the
fleet!
Scott
my name is Gilles - email is combrisson@...

I have number 106 and
have been learning also. Will gladly share any tips/info with you.

Hello Jay:

My e-mail address is mewald@... or mewald@....
Send to me your e-mail address so that I may answer with my address and phone
number.

Thanks,

Mike
Short of buying a new jib which may be
inevitable, can anyone tell me what can be done to make the
M24 go upwind? My boat has a lot of custom hardware
and I'm beginning to question the position of the jib
leads as I'm 5 deg or more off the fleet when sailing
hard to weather. It's killin me! Thanks
Hi: My name is Mike Ewald and I purchased Hull
#111. I live in the Dallas area and would like to speak
with anyone who could help me learn to sail this boat
correctly. I am currently racing the fall series with beer
can and chicken sailors at the DYC.

Help Me!
All,
I'm Beau Vrolyk, normally skipper of
Scarlett (Hull #86). We've been getting Scarlett ready to
race over the last few months, new rig, sales, etc.
But, we're not ready for the city front yet. I'd like
to crew for someone to get a feel for "set up" and
the fleet. Feel free to email me at bvrolyk@...
or give me a call at 650/254-5685. Bye for
now.
Beau
Mooregasm beat Fatuity to take second in the
Boreas. They finished about 12:45AM after a very light
start and light to moderate SW winds over the
course.

I cheated and sailed on an SC50, so I finished at
9:49. Saw a sunfish, a shark, several whale spouts, and
a top speed of 8 knots.
Congratulations to Mark Berryman (Snafu U #121)
and crew for winning Division B last Saturday. Snafu
crossed the finish line at 2357 (three minutes before the
deadline) and was the only Division B boat to finish the
race.
I've been asked about registering for the High Sierra. If you haven't received
a NOR you may want to call Marvin Crum, 559/638-4021. If not, I'm sure you can
register at Huntington Lake on 7/21.
I really liked the way that my boomkicker works.
And it definitely helps the sail trim. They provide
light and heavy rods, but I only use the light rods.
Another good feature is that it weighs so much less that
a solid vang. If you order one, don't go
direct...use sailnet.com for a better deal.

have a crane to launch boats friday afternoon and

please let me know. Frames are brown on
the outside,
green on the inside. Fred, nice job!

John

Hull#79. I have owned the boat for 2 years. New paint,
halyards, boomkicker, mainsail and #1 both made by North in
Summer of 2000, and much more. Boat is very clean and
sitting on a trailer. Asking $10,000. Boat is located in
the midwest, but I would be willing to negotiate
delivery. Questions? Call me at 773-477-2432 or email at

Hey everyone,

My name is Richard and I am
looking for a regular crew position on a fun boat in a
fun fleet. I crewed on the Olson 30 'Speedy Gonzales'
for about 5 years, doing
pretty much everything
but foredeck (mostly trimming). In that time I did 5
NOODs, the Encinal-Santa Barbara twice, the Hard Day's
Night twice, and as many
Vallejos as possible (I am
known for mixing a mean margarita)!

I am 6'0"
and usually weigh around 175 lbs.

You can
reach me by email at richard@..., by
phone at 650-291-8313 (cell/vm) or 415-551-7712
(home).

Thanks!

Richard
Looking for a ride in the upcoming Delta Ditch
Run!

In fact, the owner of the J-35 I race on in the Bay
(Jarlen) is also looking. Both experienced. I can do trim,
grind, pit or the pointy end.

Take us both or
individually. In fact, I have an incentive. Will help provide
food/refreshments, gas and tear down.

Call me on my cell
phone. 408-835-4716. I will be racing this weekend on
the Bay (Hospice Regatta) as well.

First come,
first gets!

Thanks!
