Thanks to the tireless efforts of Kari Olson and all of the volunteer hosts, the Montlake Garden Tour is back!
Saturday, June 20th gardens are open from 1-3 PM
Sunday, June 21st gardens are open from 2-4 PM
Details are below.
We have in our neighborhood an extremely knowledgeable plant expert in Arthur Lee Jacobson, author of several books including Trees of Seattle (which includes a number of Montlake specimens) and the recently updated Wild Plants of Greater Seattle. His own garden is part of the tour.

All gardens were freshly watered from above today after a long dry spell. SR 520 will be closed this weekend so it will be all the more serene in Montlake and in the Arboretum.
See you on the tour!
Jonathan

Greetings neighbors, friends and gardeners near and far!!!
What a treat to see a few of Montlake's gardens. It has been a rocky road to pull this garden tour feat together this year with so many of our neighbors out of town this very weekend - (we had a few cancellations), but we've made the most of what there is and its special none the less!
A few special notes: 1911 E. Eaton Place garden was third runner up in 1999 Arboretum Foundation's annual Home Garden Contest! (Under same owners) in ten years it’s changed some, but still is one of those hidden very rare gems here in the heart of Seattle!
And please visit renowned author of "Trees of Seattle and Wild Plants of Seattle" Arthur Lee Jacobson's garden # D !!! A vital opportunity to pick a encyclopedic brain on plants and trees of Seattle!
Montlake School Greenhouse Garden is planted by students and tended all through summer by community members while students are out of school, also a must see!
Have fun! Please mind where you walk, and advise children to be respectful and avoid running in the gardens.
