Re: [moneyfolders_unite] Re: Need help (again): Won Park's Shark

Those are great views of the backside of the dorsal.  And probably the only way that fold can be accomplished.  That's great folding.

And I suspect it's related to getting the smoosh fold right.  My issue remains that I'm having difficulty with the sink that affects (or not?) the front side of the dorsal.  For instance, if I sync the smoosh too much I end up with a wart that sticks out the front side of the dorsal which I'm sure is wrong.  Not enough and it doesn't appear to accomplish anything.  Regardless, I'm getting the sink fold wrong which is adversely affecting the height, angle and shape of the dorsal.

Thanks for the help Eric.  Your model looks great.  Maybe some views from the front side would shed some light?  My next attempt will be #4.

I've created an album called "Won Park Shark Help" that has a few photos of the step 37 structure. Hope this helps!

Here's one of the photos showing the process:

Ditto on the little crimp fold problem. Is this fold supposed to lock the leading edge of the dorsal fin? Or is it intended to get material out of the way for...

I can't get pass step 14 on the shark; everything seems to fold perfectly up to this step, it's like there are some extra layers that come out of nowhere. Has...

Steps 12-16 are just to form the small dorsal fin. Since these are judgment folds, your model will probably not match the diagrams exactly. The only purpose of...

The little crimp allows the big crimp in step 37 to nestle into the fin flush with the angles of the fin. I'll try to post a photo a little later of the...
