Go Girl ! lol
Sculpting your own tree is always a great idea especially when you need a certain look . I know western saddles vary in styles by miles so having a different tree for each is just wonderful . I make my own molds , I taught myself ( Kinda , I had a great video ) . I started this because everytime I worked a saddle I noticed I was always trying to rescult the tree I was working with . I finally made a tree I thought I was happy with and learned to make a mold of it . The process can be frustrating but and rewarding . I would be glad to help if I can , english is probably alot easier to make a mold of then a western tree . lmk , you can also just buy all the stuff you need and the vidoe from www.smooth-on.com . Good luck !

Subject: [modelhorsetack] Casting trees
Okay folks, I'm having a ton of fun making english saddles but I want to take it to a different level. I've tried several english trees out there and haven't been completely thrilled with them (with the exception of Jana' trees-they are real nice). I would like to try sculpting my own, which I have been doing, but I'd like to get them cast so I don't have to a new one every time I make a saddle. Now I'm just sticking my toes in the water to see if there is anyone out there that could cast for me. I don't know yet if I'm up to the challenge of doing that myself although I know Jana and Kirsteen do-brave girls....any thoughts on this please-thanks so much!!!!
