Description

Modifications to 7x10/12 Mini Lathes and 9x20 lathes are documented here along with articles from old ME magazines to give you ideas on ways to modify or improve you lathe..
Illustrations and comentary on fitting the CamLok2 tailstock mod and centering mod are in the CamLok2 folder. Preliminary work on the dual function lever action tail stock is in the LeverRam2 folder.
Mods done to the 9x20 are in the 9x20 folder in photos

The picture is of the 5C collet closer I recently made fitted to my 9" Southbend with a backing plate instead of direct mount as it would be on a 7X machine. This nose mount design allows for full use of spindle capacity for long parts. Drawing can be provided on request!
