Description

The MAP is about cleaning up the political process. Politicians harvest us for votes and money, to do things we did not ask! We’re cynical about politics, political conversations, and the wars of words. Apathy and refusal to vote turns democracy to tyranny. Candidates run attack campaigns to scare voters into polls. Positive commercials are trite laundry lists of success claimed by individuals when political successes are not individual efforts. We settle for propaganda, vote the lesser of two evils; and with each time take another step towards despotism. Demand better! In the free market, we don’t spend our dollars (our economic votes telling business to make more of the same) on inferior goods; I propose we do the same to our politicians. We should not support inferior politicians who don’t meet our standards. We must stop habitually reelecting those who don’t respect us, take us for granted, or vote them in because of party loyalty. We should encourage candidates who will adhere to standards and give us real choices.
We will endorse any candidate if they; have a clear platform, specify how their changes will be brought about, avoid negative campaigns, have a record of success, show success at their job, and show respect for the people and their office. This will give us a genuine choice based on the plans, philosophies, and records of the candidates, not propaganda.
Our system has decayed. We settle for less and get less. Our rights erode, our taxes “decrease” but surface elsewhere. Our national debt is a tax to our economy and our quality of life. If we organize, we can reverse this. Do you agree our political system is insulting and needs clean up? If so, you’ve found friends. Your political views need not change, we’re not about pushing issues; we’re about improving the way we’re treated, and if ignored, we’re prepared to become the change, running our own candidates for office.
