The original and best impartial discussion group for microstock photographers and library representatives.
Founded by Douglas Freer, author of "Microstock Photography - how to make money from your digital images" published by Focal Press, this group is the leading open resource for the discussion of ALL the so-called "Micropayment" or "Microstock" stock photography agencies, including Shutterstock, iStock, Bigstock, 123 Royalty Free, Fotolia and others. It is also suitable for the discussion of other emerging stock agency sales models and royalty-free stock generally. It is NOT affiliated to any micro site.
This is discussion in the raw. Say what you really think, free of the shackles of the moderated stock discussion forums including those run by the sites themselves - but keep it polite and keep it legal, folks. No abusive or insulting messages, please. Compose yourself before you compose your message.
It is primarily intended as a resource for submitting photographers - compare notes, discuss earnings potential and anything else that comes to mind (such as comparisons with traditional agencies). But please, keep it polite. Agency managers and staff are of course also very welcome to join and participate in the discussion.
It's also the place to discuss stock-related workflow issues, software, hardware, cameras etc.
The group is unmoderated, but the right is reserved to delete messages or to ban members without giving a reason. Please note that fee-earning referral links in signature lines to messages are banned. Standard links to home pages etc are permitted.
