I surfed the Italian papers to see how the plane 'sucked the flowers in'.
It seems the bouquet ribbons got caught around the tail, I assume elevator and
that 'brought the aircraft down'.

Dashed unlucky I would say, except for the guys who's girfriends were waiting to
catch the flowers....:-))
