My GPS had a bit of belly ache on the way to Spamfield this year.. as in
it stopped working (pleased the maps were current).

When fed direct from an external source it works fine but the battery
appears dead.

Anyone had experience of testing these batteries or know someone who can
rebuild them?

... BJ I wouldn't touch a lithium battery that isn't working. I would buy a new one and ask Garmin for a reason as to why so many people have battery problems...

That firmware update looks interesting; makes you wonder if they've fixed a bug in the charging control software, but is that too late for BJ's battery? I...
