Dear All
it is with great sadness that I write to advise you that a man that Lesley, I,
Carla and many others considered, the master of microlighting, has moved on to
pastures new.
Having fought for the last 10 months against the big C, Tony Wells departed this
world last night at 22.15 hours with his family at his bedside.
Tony was one of our pioneers, a great personal friend and a much loved man. I
cannot begin to tell you how so many people feel at this time. His funeral will
be on Thursday 19th August at Blackburn and I will post further details as soon
as we know them.
Tony taught Lesley and I to fly microlights in 1988 and we regularly handed him
our daughter Carla to look after while we went for a fly. He would say that he
was nothing but "a dumper" a name that has remained and always will. "Uncle
Dumper" will be sadly missed. There are no words that can tell you how we feel.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Goodnight and god bless Tony.
Bob, Lesley and Carla.
