History:
The Witch Hat Society (WHS) had its first meeting on September 30, 2004 at the local IHOP in Merrillville,IN. The WHS began as a result of a few devoted fans of famous witches. How many us admired Samantha on Bewitched twitch her nose as she cleaned her kitchen, or observed Glenda the Good Witch on The Wizard of Oz as she waved her magic wand and make dreams come true. Now the WHS has grown and currently has 15 chapters, all striving to provide fun, fellowship and spirituality.

Chapter 8 was born in the area of Michiana by a couple of people who discovered the WHS and traveled to Crown Point Indiana to a WHS meeting. We were so impressed with the fun and fellowship we wanted to bring that to all the fun loving witch hat wearing people in Michiana!

Come join us as we wear our witch hats (men with wizard hats are also welcomed) proudly and speak of the magic that life brings forth to us all. Come and allow the true spirited witch in you shine through.

What we are about:
The Michiana Witch Hatters are about community and having fun while supporting one another in our spiritual desires. We welcome men and women and are family friendly!

WHS strives to promote other groups in the area and we enjoy working together to build a peaceful, safe and enjoyable community for all.

Come for our meet and greets, discussion groups, and book discussions! We are currently trying to come up with more fun activities as the group is reconstruction!

The only requirement is that there is no bashing of other religions or beliefs, no bashing of other groups or other members within the community. All are welcomed who choose to set aside their differences and embrace the WHS 3 rules:
