This Group serves the Michiana region.

Michiana Foodshare gives members a means
of offering excess perishable or nonperishable unexpired/unspoiled
food items that might otherwise go to waste.

The principle is very similar to FreeSharing or Freecycle
and members can offer items such as
excess items from government programs
(infant formula, milk, etc), excess items
from your cabinets and pantries,
seeds, plants, fruit before it rots on the tree,
excess veggies from the farm or garden,
canned goods from their emergency survival stock,
pet foods, and so on

All messages need to have one of the following headers:
OFFER
TAKEN
WANTED
RECEIVED
Offers and Takens are to be posted
only by the member giving the items,
Wanteds and Received are to be posted
only by the member wanting items.
ALL POSTS MUST INCLUDE YOUR LOCATION
in the Subject line!

There is to be NO selling of food items on this group
ALL ITEMS MUST BE FREE!

Members are on a moderated mail until they prove good emails
Members need to remain on MAIL OR DIGEST to stay a member
the group does not promote alot of mail
so being on Digest should work adequately
