It's time for the monthly MSSHD party to be held this Saturday,
August 21, 2004 at the American Dance Center, 2321 Corunna Rd.,
Flint, MI.

This month is our annual potluck so bring your favorite dishes to
pass and your own drinks and we'll party till the cows come home. We
will have a few exhibitions for you to enjoy. We will have several
new dancers attending this month so come and make them feel welcome.

Admission is a dish to pass and $7.00 for members of MSSHD, GLSDC,
and MSDA.  Guest are always welcome for $10.00.

The door will open at 6:45 and we will eat around 7:30. Please try
to have your food at the tables by that time.

We will provide plates, plasticware, cups and ice but again please
bring your own drinks!!

Fall is almost upon us so dust off those dancing shoes and get ready
to party!

This class will be taught by National Dance Champion & recent
inductee to the "World Swing Dance Hall of Fame" Bob Budzynski
assisted by his wife Beverly. They will be introducing you to the
fantastic fun of swing dancing as well as a little Fox Trot, Waltz &
Cha-Cha How about a little fun line dance to go along with the rest
of the dances. There is no doubt that you will be the hit of that
next wedding or party after only ten weeks of quality instruction.
Join the thousands of others who have participated in taking dance
classes from Bob & Beverly and be the "Hot Dancer" in your family.
50 minute classes start on Tuesday, Sept 28th at Fenton Call 810-591-

Learn from National Dance Champion & recent inductee to the "World

take on the world.  Ten weeks with your teacher and you'll be ready
to step out on the floor with authority. A few Latin dances will be
added to the mix to increase your dancing pleasure. Starting times
for this class will be 6:50 P.M. at all three schools

  It's time to step up!

Again Bob & Beverly Budzynski will be providing top-notch
instruction for those more experienced dancers who want to vastly
improve their skills. West Coast Swing, a few East Coast advanced
patterns, some Salsa, Waltz  & more. Let us round out your skills
and make you the dancer you always wanted to be.  Starting times
will be 7:40 P.M. at all three schools.

We are looking forward to this fall session.  We love to meet new
dancers.  Please refer us to your friends and relatives.  If the
times are not convenient,  we teach private lessons in our home.

Hello Dancers,

Want to dance this weekend?  You can have fun and help the 9/11
Children's Fund at the same time.  Admission is only $5.00 and all
money will be given to the Fund.

The party will be a Laura Bergers L.A. Dance Studio, 2561 S Lapeer
Rd in Oxford, MI.  Bob Budzynski is volunteering his services as a
teacher and a DJ.  A lesson will be given at 7 pm and then we will
have the dance party.

It's once again time for our monthly dance and we want you to be
there.

The dance will be held at the American Dance Center, 2321 Corunna
Rd., Flint, MI (about 1 mile east of I-75).  It starts at 7 pm and
admission is $7.00 for members of MSSHD, GLSDC, MSDA and USABDA.
Guest are welcome for $10.00.

Besides our regular dance format, this month we are offering you the
chance to buy or swap dance or related items.  Put your name and a
price on the items you bring and we will provide tables and racks to
display them.  If you don't have anything to sell, then you can be a
buyer!

It should be great fun so come early and stay late!

There is a revised schedule ONLY for Grand Blanc School.

Beginner Swing will be at 6:00 P.M.

We will be teaching Beg. Swing along with a little Fox Trot, Waltz &
Cha Cha.

Intermediate Swing will be at 7:00 P.M.

Advanced East Coast Swing plus Beginner West Coast Swing and if
time, another Latin Dance to add to the mix.

Advanced Class will be at 8:00 P.M.

This class is by invitation ONLY! We will be teaching a variety of
dances along with advanced West Coast Swing. An Intermediate Waltz
and Fox Trot will be added to the mix. This years' class will be a
fantastic experience. Do not miss this class!

These classes will start on October 28th. They will not take
registration until October 11th. A booklet will be sent in the mail
on a limited basis. If you do not receive one, let this notice be
your booklet. This session will be six weeks. Join us to improve
your dancing!

Dear Dancers.

The film, Shall we Dance, will be shown in a special sneak preview
at the Flint Cinema East (I-69 and Belsay Rd) at 7 pm. We thought it
would be fun for a bunch of dancers to meet for dinner at
Bubba/O'Malleys at 5:45 and then attend the movie together.  If
interested, just show up.

The restaurant in just south of I-69 on the west side of Belsay Rd.
Some of you may want to purchase your tickets before dinner to save
time.

The dinner and the sneak preview for Shall we Dance will be at 7pm
on Sat Oct 2, 2004.

Boogity, Boogity, Boogity

Yes, our Halloween Dance is upon us. It all happens this Saturday
evening (7:00 P.M.) at the American Dance Center at 2321 Corunna Rd.
in Flint MI. It's 1 1/2 miles from the I-75 xway due east just past
Zimmermann School on the South side of the road.Turn on Downey St
(south) and turn left to park in back of the Center.  Enter from the
back.

We're having a very spirited costume contest ($100.00 for 1st place)
and a Pumpkin carving contest (special prize). In addition, we'll
have some goodies but you must bring your own drinks. We'll supply
cups, ice, plates and plasticware.

A special exhibition is planned for this Halloween dance that you
won't want to miss! Great people! Great music! What fun we'll all
have. Who could ask for anything more.

The cost is only $10.00 for this special event. Don't miss it!

You're invited to a dance to celebrate Valentine's Day.  It will be
held on Sunday, February 13, 2005, at the American Dance Center, 2321
Corunna Rd, Flint, MI.

To reach the Dance Center, exit I-75 at Corunna Rd and go east for a
little over one mile.  On the south side of the road you will see
Zimmerman School, a very large, old school.  Go past it and turn right
or south on Downey St.  Turn left into the parking lot and enter the
dance studio from the back.

Since this dance is on a Sunday, the times will be from 4pm to 7pm.

The weekend of April 1 - 3, 2005 gives swing dancers some exciting
opportunities.  There will two ballrooms side by side.

Check out motowndance.com for complete info. on west coast swing
competitions, workshops and lots of general dancing.  The website
includes the schedule and admission fees. Event directors are Jeff and
Tera Vitale.

In the next ballroom will be a Lindy or fast east coast room hosted by
Kelly Palmiter and Laura Berger. This ballroom is FREE!  Dancing will
be from 9pm to 4am on Friday and Saturday evenings with a free lesson
at 8 to 9pm on Friday and Saturday.  It's all free. Also on Saturday
evening will be the Battle of Swing Cities. Their website is

Many dancers will buy an admission ticket to the west coast swing
competitions and go back and forth to the Lindy ballroom  It should
lots of fun!!

It that time again!  The third Saturday swing dance sponsored by the
Michigan Society for Swing and Hustle Dancers will be held at the
American Dance Center, 2321 Corunna Road, Flint, MI.  To reach the

will see a large old school on the south side.  Turn right on Downey
Ave(just past the school) and turn left into the parking lot behind

Hi Dancers:

It's that time again. Our monthly dance this Saturday, May 21st, will
feature a FREE MINI-HUSTLE LESSON to all MSSHD members. All others
will be charged $3.00. We will be starting at the very beginning so if
you have never done or even seen it, this lesson will be for you.

As usual the dance will start promptly at 7:00 p.m The location
remains the same. It's 2321 Corunna Rd., 1 block east of Zimmermann
school. Turn right onto Downey and make an immediate left into the
parking lot. Enter the American Dance Studio from the back entrance.

We will provide cups & ice but you must supply your own drinks of any
kind. As always, we will have a few goodies available and if you wish
to participate, you are certainly welcome to bring something light.

We call these practice dances for a reason. You need to practice and
we'll provide the correct music for you to do so. Bring any interested
friends to join in on the fun.

Cost is only $7.00 for all clubs members and $10.00 for guests. Come
early and stay late and dance till you can't dance any more.

Michigan Society for Swing & Hustle Dancers

We have arranged to sell our dance floor to Phil Dorroll, Director
of the Michigan Classic in exchange for a very special block of
tickets. They will be gold seats at $105.00 each but will sold to
MSSHD members for only $50.00 each. This is an incredible
opportunity for our club members. Tickets will be sold on a first
come, first serve basis. Phone calls do not count. Promises do not
count. Money counts! We have a limited amount of tickets for $50.00
each and if you want one, you must send us a check made out to MSSHD
for $50.00 and send it to our P.O. Box # 263, Grand Blanc MI 48439

We are very excited to offer club members this opportunity and we're
sure we will fill this limited seating arrangement fast. If you have
friends who want to go with you, they can join the club and then
order tickets. Again, we cannot hold or reserve tickets. We must
have your check or cash ASAP.

If you have a flyer, fill out the registration form and send it
along with your check. If you are going to compete, your regular
competition fees apply and must be added to your check. Likewise for
any workshops or videos. Flyers may be obtained at

Many of you have written about membership in MSSHD as a prelude to
purchasing tickets for $50.00 for the Michigan Classic. Membership is
$25.00 for one person and $10.00 for your spouse or $20.00 & $10.00 if
you are a Semior(55 or older) Remember, we only have a limited number
of tickets available so they are still on a first come, first serve
basis. MSSHD club membaers should notify us at once and send in your
check to be sure to have one of these "gold section" seats for only
$50.00. Competition and workshop fees are extra.

with a FREE HUSTLE LESSON at 6:30. This will be lesson two in our
series of lessons.
