Description

Information for and about the annual Rend Lake Messabout held in June on the weekend before Fathers Day. For 2012 that means June 8,9 & 10, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Rend Lake is located 15 miles south of Mt. Vernon, Illinois on I-57. We are congregating on the Ringneck Loop of the North Sandusky Campground.

As usual everyone is on their own for meals and drink, except for Saturday evening. Some of us will go into town and purchase hamburgers and hot dogs and all the fixings and we'll have a cookout for the evening meal. If you have a favorite dish for such events, bring it along.

Thanks again, Mike. We have decided that the 1680 mile drive to Rend Lake and back is too much for us this year, with no other events to attend on the way or
