Merewether Beach is located on the East Coast of Australia approximately 60 N.M. North of Sydney. Our beach is one of three on a stretch of sand approximately 1000 metres in length. The other Beaches to the North being Dixon Park and Bar Beach. Voluntary members of the club have patroled the beach on weekends and public holidays from October to May since December 1907.On weekdays a Newcastle City Council Lifeguard patrols the beach. Present club membership is approximately 450.

Joining Up

* If you do not have a yahoo email address you may need to set up a dummy yahoo profile to sign up. However once you have signed in with the dummy profile, you dont have to use it any further. Once you are a member you can then select your frequently used email address to send and receive the message posts (emails).

* Once you have signed up you can elect to receive individual emails, or emails only once a day (in a daily digest) or not at all.

* If anyone receives a huge amount of new spam to your email address can you please let me know. This shouldnt happen, but if it does I'll look at the settings.
