WELCOME TO THE MEDIEVAL FICTION WRITERS GROUP!

Are you the writer of a historical novel set during medieval times, a period of knights, troubadours, Charlemange and Richard the LionHeart, the Viking discoveries and the Crusades?

Do you need honest, helpful critiques of your writing?

Then this is the group for you!

We welcome historical fiction authors, both published and unpublished, of the medieval period, in any setting from Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, etc. If your work is set during the years 500-1450 AD, we consider it medieval fiction! Also, if you are a writer serious about the goal of publication but your work is not in the medieval period, you may apply for membership.

You must be willing to offer other members a fair critique of their work, and accept honest criticism of your own. You must apply to the moderator to join; please provide your full name and the title of your work in progress.

Three basic rules to join:

-You must commit to critiquing at least two other members' work a month and you must submit one chapter of your own work every two weeks. You may obtain permission from the moderator to submit chapters at a different pace. However, be mindful of your critique partners' schedules.

-Your critique must be honest but fair; this is not the place to belittle other writing or to laud your own abilities. Reply to critiques of your work with a private thank-you to the critiquer; even if you disagree with a suggestion or comment, please keep it polite.

-You may not discuss the works of other members outside this group. Your copyrights are protected here and Yahoo will support your copyright claims. Please do not share the works of other members outside this group. Any offending member will receive a permanent ban from the group. No exceptions.
