Bishop McNamara High School, a college preparatory school in the Holy Cross tradition, exists to educate and to form young men and women in the Catholic faith. The school challenges its students to think with Christ: a thought animated by the gospel, manifested in service, and informed by academic excellence.
In September 1992, following the closing of neighboring, all-girls LaReine High School, McNamara became a co-educational institution dedicated to preparing both young women and men for the challenges of the 21st century. While expanding the academic, cultural and athletic activities to include all students, many traditions of the two schools were also retained to provide continuity for current students and alumni/ae.
