The Maynard Special Education Parent Advisory Council are parents of children with special needs who believe that through shared knowledge we can advocate for our children, support each other, advise our educators, and inform our communities. We want to empower parents to become active, contributing members of their child's IEP TEAM and face the challenges of raising a special needs child.

Our goal is to work in partnership with our district's Special Education Department, as well as our school personnel to better meet the needs of students who receive special education services. By providing resource information and opportunities of partnership and communication, we can make a difference in the quality of education for our children.

We welcome any person interested in the issues that affect our children.
