Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center, a non-profit organization empowering families of children with special needs to successfully understand and access the systems that serve them.

Purpose:

Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center serves Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties in the North San Francisco Bay Area. We are sponsoring this newsgroup forum for families of children with special needs. This group is primarily for support and information sharing. As a clearinghouse of information and resources, it is our policy not to recommend or endorse any one specific diagnostic or therapeutic program or to engage in legal advocacy.

How it works:

This group is for parents only, to provide a safe space to support and encourage each other. If you are interested in individual support from a Parent Advisor for your family and live in Marin, Napa, Solano, or Sonoma County, please call the Matrix helpline Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm PST at (800) 578-2592.

Appropriate topics for this discussion list include issues related to disabilities in children from birth to twenty-six years of age. Families are welcome to recommend or comment on service providers and their services that they have personal experience with. However, please do not advertise services or products of any kind. Please refrain from off-topic posts. This group is moderated for appropriate content only.
