QA Engineer for Business Systems

Tasks

What will you do?

You willÂ….

Â…plan, design, develop and execute different types of tests for our business systems;

Â…design regression, functional and non-functional tests for new system releases and automate them as much as possible;

Â…conduct white-box and black-box testing;

Â…work closely with the development team to investigate and solve major software incidents;

Â…review the technical documentation for accuracy;

And, most of all, you will be a part of our young and dynamic team.

Requirements

If you have/are:

Â…fluent in English (both written and spoken);

Â…good knowledge of German language (both written and spoken);

Â…very good communication skills and a great team player;

Â…know how to read a system specification, to understand the purpose, the structure of a system or database and the areas to be tested;

Â…know how to assess the quality of software by measuring the relevant factors: testability, correctness, reliability, usability, maintainability, reusability;

Â…highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Quality Assurance;

Â…good knowledge of SQL;

Â…good knowledge of web services testing (SOA) and test automation;

Â…knowledge of Java, UNIX.

Would be a plus:

Â…experience in working with/in a business systems department;

Â…basic usage of version control systems (Subversion, CVS);

Â…experience with tools like: SoapUI, JMeter, TestLink, Bugzilla;

Â…continuous integration testing experience using tools like: Hudson, Maven;

Â…test management experience.
