"Critical Mass" is a radically inclusive convergence of bicyclists and other people-powered transport for a ride somewhere. In Chicago the oldest is the last Friday of every month starting downtown in Daley Plaza (50 W Washington, under the Picasso, at Dearborn, SW of State&Lake train stop). Leaving after 6pm, route gently winds at least a dozen miles, thousands attend in good weather, gathers in all seasons, free and fun, just show up.

This list was created for occassional bulletins about the big downtown mass, as well as the growing neighborhood masses on other Fridays such as North Side, Wicker Park, Evanston, etc. Basically, join here to hear about Chicago area rides big enough to dominate streets.
