Description

Welcome to Masonic Light, the internationally renowned on-line discussion forum that inspired the widely read book “The Temple That Never Sleeps.” We function independently of any Masonic governing authority, which enables us to welcome Masons from across the spectrum of Masonic jurisdictions, obediences, constitutions, etc.

Here there is no rank or seniority; we meet upon the Level, act by the Plumb and part on the Square. If you cannot conduct yourself in a courteous, fraternal and professional manner because you object to "mainstream" Masonry, Prince Hall Masonry, Masonry for women, or other Masonic rites your own jurisdiction does not recognize, then this is not the place for you.

If you are a sincere seeker of Truth, then you'll feel right at home here where there is practically no limit to the topics we cover. Masonic history, ritual, symbolism, esoterica, philosophy, spirituality, jurisprudence, philanthropy, current events, Liberal Arts and Sciences, even archeology, comparative religions and other studies…. You name it, and we’re eager to learn about it.

We are equally interested in how your local Masonry operates. We welcome ideas for candidate instruction, education programs, unique events and the like. ML is especially interested in the “Traditional Observance” movement, “European Concept” lodges, “Red Lodges” and other variations in the Masonic experience.

The Moderator reserves the right to decide membership concerns, as well as the length and content of conversations. Matters of Masonic politics, recognition, regularity, etc. are NOT topics for discussion here, although we welcome the good news of jurisdictions establishing relations.
