This group is designed to serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences of owners of any model of Marui RC tank series. The introduction of Marui's first bullet firing tank , the Japan Self-defense Force Type 90 was a big hit. This is quickly followed by Hen Long version which many thought was an imitation. Actually Hen Long is an OEM manufacturer for Tokyo Marui. It is based in China. It seems the release of the Hen Long version is intended to target overseas buyers. However, both the Tokyo Marui version and the Hen Long version are both made in China. Since then Tokyo Marui has come up with M1A2 Abrams (Desert Storm and NATO Camouflage). Most recently Hen Long introduced yet another model, this time the German Leopard II 5A. Now Marui also released its own version of this Leopard tank (September, 2002). This model contains improved features over the other versions. So the Marui RC tanker community will have quite a number of tanks to talk about.
