Description

This group is dedicated to the study and appreciation of author Mark Z. Danielewski and his works.

Danielewski is most famous for his experimental bestsellers House of Leaves and Only Revolutions. His highly poetic, stream-of-conciousness works are a unique blend of forms and break conventional literary concepts and boundaries. His work in film and music have greatly influenced and broadened his explorations of literary potentialities and fusions. Heralded as a brilliant new literary star and blessed (or is that cursed?) with a cult-like fan following, Danielewski is definitely the most exciting post-modern author to watch.

Some of his other publications include The Whaletoe Letters and The Fifty Year Sword.

Note: He is the son of famed Polish avant-garde film director Tad Danielewski. His sister, Ann, is the singer popularly known as Poe.

"Little solace comes
to those who grieve
when thoughts keep drifting
as walls keep shifting
and this great blue world of ours
seems a house of leaves
moments before the wind."

~ Mark Z. Danielewski, House of Leaves (p 563)

Don't Look
To get a better idea try this: focus on these words, and whatever you do don't let your eyes wander past the perimeter of this page. Now imagine just beyond
