The Australian Society of Marine Artists will hold a major exhibition of works
by its members titled 'The Waterways of Sydney - Past and Present' at NSW
Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney, from 3 February to 25 February 2010.
Exhibition Hours 9.00am to 4.30 pm.

Yes Mori, our (Australian Society of Marine Artists) exhibition is part of the
Newcastle maritime celebrations and will run for most of October.

Will the exhibitiion will be available for viewing during the National Maritime
Festival to be held at Newcastle on the 11 October?

National Maritime Festival to be held at Newcastle on the 11 October

Endeavour and James Craig will support the 09 Festival and the Newcastle
Conservatorium will provide some wonderful entertainment with their Brass and
Jazz band.

Watch the thrills and spills of the Water Ski-Racing, jet ski stunts, take a
tour of the working port on the `Fantasea Crystal', be amazed as the powerful
Tugs perform ballet, and check out the visiting tall ships. Grab a bite to eat
and watch the Newcastle Club ocean yachts, the outriggers and the canoe polo
teams compete.

On-shore events include SWIG; Hunter winemaker's expo and the Mattara Maritime
Parade along the foreshore.. There will also be street theatre, rides and
jumping castles, face painting, pirates and wenches, soldiers and marines,
marching bands, pipe bands and dance troupes, shiny cars, big boats and little
boats, the Westpac Helicopter and an aero fly past.

This years Maritime Festival promises to be an educational, entertaining and
adrenaline filled day for the entire family to enjoy the beauty and vibrancy of
Newcastle's foreshore.
