Mission Statement: The Marion County Fiction Writers are dedicated to sharing information on the publishing industry, grammar, style and composition as well as providing support for its members from rough draft through publication and promotion.

Historical Romance Author Judi Thoman and Speculative Fiction (Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror) Author Kelly Steed founded Marion County Fiction Writers in 2007 to network with other fiction writers. MCFW is open to career-minded fiction writers both published and non-published residing in Marion County, OH.

Our meetings are held every third Thursday of the month in the Board Room at Books On Center 150 146 W. Center Street in Marion, OH from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Please use The Guild entrance. http://www.booksoncenter.com/(Due to the holidays, there is never a December meeting.)

Meetings consist of a presentation designed to help writers improve their work or increase their knowledge of the publishing industry followed by a discussion of the presentation and other publishing concerns. Members are encouraged to bring sections of their work that pertain to the topic so they can be gone over and discussed.
