"Thank you for forwarding all those opportunities for writers. They're very well chosen, and I find myself forwarding many of them to people I think can take advantage of them."--Esmeralda Santiago, author of The Turkish Lover
"You have no idea how grateful I am. The Latinidad interview had wonderful results and I have more manuscripts than ever, including some really good titles."--Ximena Ortiz, Editor, Llewellyn
"Latinidad is really awesome. I receive a lot of these, but yours is one of the few that really seeks to give information to the writer, instead of being a brag sheet."--Lori Perkins, literary agent
As a former Simon & Schuster editor, I know first-hand how challenging it is to get published. In order to help writers, particularly Latinos, I created Latinidad®, an e-zine chosen as one of the 101 Best Web Sites for Writers by Writer's Digest Magazine and the Best Writer's Resource in the category of Writer's Resource/Information/News in the Preditors & Editors Readers Poll.
Issues focus on specific topics such at Children’s Books (October 2004 ) Self-Publishing (September 2004) and Agents (September/October 2005). There are also interviews with editors, calls for submissions from agents, and announcements about writing contests, jobs, and conferences. Writers tell me my e-zine and web site helped them find agents and get published; if it worked for them, it can work for you!
Click on "Messages" on the column at the left to read past issues. To subscribe, and to automatically receive announcements about upcoming workshops, click on the “Join This Group!” above to the right.
Please forward Latinidad® widely--knowledge is power only when shared.
