Our chapter serves the Cranberry Harbors District of OCC including the towns of Cohasset, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Marshfield, Norwell, Pembroke, Plymouth, Plympton, and Scituate.

While the name, Manomet, certainly may translate from Wampanoag as Portage, the relationship to the lodge is that it was the name given to a Wampanoag or Naiset village of Christian Indians that was located just southeast of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Manomet was the closest Indian village to the location Camp Squanto (council camp for Old Colony Council) located in South Carver, MA. The name is also taken from the old Manomet Lodge 164, which merged with Tisquantum Lodge 518 to make Tisquantum Lodge 164.

The bent stump (chapter totem) was a Native American way of marking trails. The bent stump that our totem takes after is the one that was in front of the Dinning Hall of the former council camp, Camp Child, in Plymouth, MA.
