Welcome to The Mandala Oasis Community!

The Mandala Oasis is an inviting respite for creative souls to share the joy making mandalas, as well as its gifts of peace & inspiration. Creating or coloring mandalas is relaxing, rewarding and enjoyable; and becomes a spiritual practice for many people.

What is a mandala? Mandala means circle, a sacred circle that represents wholeness & the "self". In the book, Mandala: Journey to the Center, Bailey Cunningham writes: - "Loosely translated to mean circle, a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness....a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds." - As we make our own mandalas & listen for their whispers of insight, they beckon us deeper into the vision & language of our inner-world.

The mandala to the right is called "Multiple Inlets". It represents the online community I intend to gather here, with members from varied inlets from all over the world, being drawn to "the center". In that light, this group is a mandala - a sacred circle.

In making mandalas it doesn't matter what medium you use, be it pencil, ink, paint, crayons, markers, collage, beads, sticks, stones, paper mache, mud or clay - or if you make them digitally. You choose! It doesn't matter if you've been making mandalas for years, weeks or days; or if you've never made them at all & want to it a try, you are welcome to do that here in this oasis of mutual support, learning & celebration of the spirit! And, even better news is that you cannot make a mistake, because every part of your mandala is a clue to a deeper part of YOU! - The mantra is: "Trust the processs".
