Description
Established November 2004 by Keely Jolliffe, this group is for vegans in Manchester.
Being vegan can be lonely and isolating, but it doesn't have to be! This group brings the vegans in Manchester closer together, form friendships, maybe more....(it has happened, we've just had our first engagement!) and to promote our beautiful vegan lifestyle in society.
We meet at 1.30pm on the last Saturday of every month at Mod Pop Cafe, basement of Pop Boutique, Oldham Street. Martin provides lots of vegan choices so please show respect and only eat vegan food if you want to eat with us.
We are currently organising a number of activities and trips out, including Animal Aid leafleting outside Lush on 21st March, a trip on the folk train to Glossop and meal in The Globe and a day out in Hebden Bridge followed by a meal at Laughing Gravy.
Many of our members are involved in local campaigns and belong to other local vegan and animal rights groups, so we are active in the Manchester area promoting animal rights as well as veganism.
We hope to meet members new and old soon.
All welcome, including little ones.
