A vacuum of 25 inches of mercury is insufficient. At sea level, air pressure is about 29.5 inches of mercury. What I have read in books and on the casting list

I saw a typo. Bert said "Accidentally connecting the LED in reverse across a low voltage source should cause any problem - it simply won't light." ^^^^^ I am

... If white requires 3.6V, then I wonder what's in the "LED upgrade" I got for my 2-AA maglite, since that supplies only 3V (or less). It has 3 white LEDs
