This group is for people interested in boats designed for live aboard voyaging. Primarily Tom MacNaughton's coin collection which have been specifically designed from the ground up as optimised purpose live aboard voyaging yachts, with no compromises to rating rules, or any other artifcial handicap. With essential ingredients including Junk rig, wind vane self steering and inside steering/control stations for protection from the weather. These vessels are of modern heavy displacement design to accommodate realistic loading of supplies and equipment for living aboard and voyaging, and for a more comfortable motion at sea.
At this stage it is very hard to find anything about individual coin collection boats on the web, particularly those boats being built to plan. As well as building a record of coin collection boats being built in this discussion group, web sites are being added to the links section as they are found.
