The good news that if it is not working I KNOW you will tell me :) And
my thinking is that it will be very little time for you to figure it out
;)...

Thanks

Many strange things habecause of viruses.
Type msconfig in the START RUN menu and after clicking startup, you will find
many items being added without your knowledge even though you disable all a
number of times.
These have to be cleaned by a good anti virus or the HDD to be formatted.
Is there no permanent solution for this ?

Vectric have released a new revision of Aspire with a "Wrapping" post processor
included.

This is a long way short of 4 axis CAM but never the less has created a mini
explosion in the number of router users getting into rotary axis work. Many of
these are Mach users.

I am having to constantly explain to Mach users who are new to rotary axis,
about the bugs in "Use Diameter for Feedrate" and the rotary toolpath display
bug and how to work around them.

These are long standing bugs, not new feature requests. Can we please get them
fixed. Pretty please.

David,

Our intent is certainly to add at *least* include capability in v4 (if we dont
Brian will get VERY tired of hearing me whine....). But, I didn't want to wait.
I was having too much trouble maintaining my own macros, so tossed this together
in, literally, a couple of hours, just to make my own life easier. I don't
intend it to be around for long.

Regards,
Ray L.

I was thinking I needed to add it into mach3 :) I can compile more then
one object into one bigger object.. So Yes I can do it in Mach3.. No
problem!

Hi Brain & Ray,
Hi guys, not to be a wet blanket but... :-;

Wouldn't it be better for pre-processor (in this case text
substitution/expansion) facilities to be supported from inside Mach?

I'm thinking that with an external preprocessor
1) we have to also track revs of an external pre-processor utility
2) the macro source code (what a user sees) will likely be the outout of the
"text expander" - as that is what would have to be embedded in buttons etc
(since mach fault on the pre-processor commands at interpret time).
Since he pre-procesor output code has all the "includes" already expanded, this
gives you back all the multiple copies of a header file issue - and we then have
to keep them all consistent.

If Mach supproted the facility directly, this issue goes away.

Dave

Not ot rain on anyone's parade... Most C compilers either come with a
seperate preprocessor or a command line switch you can use to
just preprocess a file and it doesn't have to be C. It's much easier
to us the real thing with full preprocessor functionality than to roll your
own if you can. I've used this trick from time to time to create .tap files
with real variable names. It's tricky but doable. (A real bitch to debug
after the names have been preprocessed away though.) No reason it
can't work with VB too...

How many splash screens does Mach3 open with. Mine opens with any of three
different ones. Until yesterday they all showed it was licensed in the About
screen. Yesterday my Mach forgot it was licensed and I spent an hour fiddling
with Aspire trying to correct a set of files which didn't show up in Mach
correctly. Finally in exasperation I finally looked at the About tab to find
out I was running in demo mode. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Hello BOB,
Did you check the Settings screen? Look at the Axis Inhibits section.See if the
LED is lit beside Z and Y. If so, turn them off.

Hello All,
Can any body tell me if you can still buy a smooth stepper.
The reason I ask is because I've tried to order one via the web site as per
instructions but not had any reply, I've sent several emails but still no
reply.
Do they still make them.?
I'm in the UK would this make any differance.? I dont think it should
because i know of several people in the uk with them, but dont know if they
bought them from a third party or not. . . . suppose If dont get a reply
soon then I need to start asking around.
If your in the uk were did you get yours.?

Thanks
Dean.

Hi Dean,

Mine came direct from Warp9 but that was a year ago now. I believe Greg is
snowed under with coding etc. You could give Jeff Birt a try at Soigeneris.
