This is a list for people to talk about contra-dancing and everything related (for example, square dancing) in the general MID-ATLANTIC REGION (whatever that is). A lot of the posts pertain to dances at Glen Echo Park, MD.

The general intention is that this be a resource for the local contra-dancing community. You can make friends and share info with people that you also talk to/dance with, etc.

We can't stress enough to be prudent and use common sense when getting rides with people you have only corresponded with on the internet. I also recommend prudence about posting your phone number and address on the list.
